The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are pleased to announce the return of popular Lithuanian and import forward Darius Pliskauskas.

Darius joined the Peterborough DALROD Phantoms midway through last season from the Slough Jets and made an immediate impact boosting the team, and has just returned from representing his home country at the recent IIHF World Championships.

Phantoms Head Coach Slava Koulikov said of the returning Darius: “Darius is an out-and-out goalscorer with 45 goals on the horizon. He is a game breaker, that’s why lots of teams in this league want him! We are very fortunate to have him.”

Coach Koulikov continued, “He has a great shot, good vision of the game, and a lot of grit and determination to get the job done. Darius scored 37 goals last season, changed team half way and suffered an injury in Bracknell on 22 February. The injury he carried should have kept him out of the game for 4 weeks, but he carried on playing knowing every game could be the last chance of making the playoffs. He is another guy who hates losing and will do everything he can to help the team win.”

“Darius knows his team targets and I know what he can produce if he stays healthy and fit next season.”
