The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are happy to announce that netminder Dan Lane will be returning for the 2014/15 season.

A product of the Peterborough junior system, Dan also enjoyed a year at the Okanagan Hockey academy in Austria, before returning in the 2011/12 season making appearances for the Peterborough DALROD Phantoms, the Peterborough Islanders and the London Raiders.

Peterborough DALROD Phantoms Head Coach Slava Koulikov said of the young netminder, “I am pleased to announce that Dan Lane will be with us next year. Dan is a young talented goalie with good potential. I spoke to Kamil [Jarina] about him last year and he told me that Dan has it in him to be a good goalie.”

Koulikov added, “He will be our number two and will play for both Peterborough teams – Phantoms and Islanders. This is the best way to improve and develop. When I spoke with Dan, he told me that he wants to be here, to work hard and push our number one!

Dan Lane said of his return, “I’m pleased to be back with the Phantoms as it’s nice to play for the team that I grew up watching, in addition to coming through the junior system here. I’m excited to be working under Slava and meeting and playing with the new guys coming in. I also look forward to working in partnership with the new goalie & stepping up when required.”
