The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are pleased to announce the signing of Cam McGiffin from the Slough Jets for the 2014/2015 season.

Having moved up through the Swindon junior system, McGiffin signed for NIHL1 South side MK Thunder before appearing for the Slough Jets in the EPL last season. The young D-man also made a number of international appearances for the GB Under-18 team.

Talking about his move to Peterborough, Cam said, “I’m really looking forward to playing for the Phantoms in the EPL next season – it’s a massive opportunity for me to continue to prove myself as a good strong Brit D-man.”

He continued, “I played for Slava last season at the Jets so I know what’s expected of me. This season he’s putting a good team together and I’m looking forward to being part of it.”

Peterborough DALROD Phantoms Head Coach Slava Koulikov told us, “Cam has a lot of potential and he wants to reach it. This is why I wanted to bring him in to the Phantoms organization. This is going to be his second year in EPL, and Cam can do a good job for us. It’s down to him to work extra hard on things that we set out for him this summer and if he does that, he will definitely push some of my top D. “

“It’s one of the things we want in the team, a healthy competition for places next year as no one is guaranteed ice time. I like Cam’s attitude on and off the ice, he is professional and I believe he can be one of the top British D in the future!”
