The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are pleased to confirm the return of British forward Marc Levers for the 2014/15 season.

Levers joined the Phantoms from the Elite League Nottingham Panthers for the 2013/14 season and was played initially in defence. During the season Marc was switch back to his familiar Forward role scoring 16 goals for 36 points. He has also become involved in coaching the DALROD Phantoms affiliated Peterborough Flyers team, helping many first time players find their feet in the game.

Speaking about his return to the Peterborough DALROD Phantoms, Levers said: “I wanted to sign back because I think Slava is putting together a great set up & I wanted to be part of it. Last years results to me were disappointing so I’m wanting to put things right. Personally I want to have a more productive year, & now I’m fully adjusted to the league I hope I can. I want the team to improve, obviously winning trophies are what we want, but making the playoffs is the minimum in my eyes. Oh & I still want to break a piece of plexi glass with a shot, if Woody managed it last year I definitely have a chance”

Peterborough DALROD Phantoms Head Coach Slava Koulikov had the following to say on Marc’s return: “Great to have Marc with us again. He is a quality player with lots of experience in British hockey. Last year was difficult for him but 2nd part of the season he played well and was one of the guys I could rely on in important moments”.

He continued “Leves is a fan favourite and great guy in the locker room, he gives no less than 100% on the ice and I believe will have a strong season for this new Phantoms team”.
