The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms announce today that experienced coach Oleksandr Kulikov (aka Alex), will be joining us this season on an advisory coaching, consultation basis.

Kulikov, one of the most experienced Ukrainian coaches, has previously led the Ukraine national team – winning the gold medal and promotion at the IIHF World Championships Group B. He has also twice won the Ukrainian domestic league: in 2001 with Berkut Kyiv and in 2011 with Donetsk Donbass.

Kulikov is now taking a season out of coaching, after stepping down as head coach from Hockey Club Bilyi Bars Bila Tserkva, who competed in the Ukrainian Professional Hockey League in 2013/14 season, Kulikov and his team finished second in the league.

Peterborough DALROD Phantoms Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented on Alex’s arrival: “Phantoms are very pleased to have someone with over 20 years of coaching experience, from many different leagues, passing on his wealth of knowledge.

Alex’s advise will be valuable and we all looking forward to getting started!”
