The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms announce ahead of the deadline day, that Peterborough born defenceman Robbie Ferrara and netminder Greg Blais will be joining us for the remainder of the season.

After two season as a Phantom, 24 year old Robbie joined the Peterborough Islanders at the beginning of this season as Captain. After leading Islanders into a fantastic position in NIHL2 and gaining 4 goals and 10 assists , he will be joining the Phantoms for the remainder of the 2014/15 season.

Phantoms Head Coach Slava Koulikov said of Robbie’s return: “After a position became available on the D line up, we were pleased to invite him to come and help us out, over the last few weeks. We know his ability and he proved over the last few games he can still play at this level.

Koulikov continued “He will add extra depth to the team, and I look forward to working with him for the remainder of the season”

In addition, Netminder Greg Blais will also be joining us for the remainder of the season. Blais first came to the UK in 2006 with the Isle of Wight Raiders, where he has made his home.

A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, the British/Canadian backstopper has extensive experience in Europe after playing stints in Belgium, France, and Norway alongside his Elite League experience with the Hull Stingrays, Cardiff Devils and more recently the Fife Flyers.

He has also played in the EPL for tonights visitors to Peterborough, the Telford Tigers where aswell as carrying out his netminding duties he also helped Bench Coach the team as he is a Level 2 qualified EIHA coach.

With injuries and there only being two senior goalies between the two senior teams in Peterborough, Greg will provide essential cover for Janis and Dan.
