The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms have tonight announced their first signings for the 2015/16 season.

Just a week after their success in the EPL PLayoff Championships, the club announced that Head Coach Slava Koulikov and Club Captain James Ferrara have put pen to paper for the Phantoms.

Slava Koulikov joined the Phantoms as Player Coach in January 2014 on an 18 month contractand last season lead the club to 4th place in the EPL and the Playoff Championship trophy.

Speaking of the signing, club owner Dave Lane commented “Slava has proved over the past 18 months that he is a top class Coach who known how to develop and motivate his players.

“Once the season was over we sat down with Slava to discuss a new contract, to allow him to continue his development of the Phantoms. He will continue to work closely with both the Peterborough Islanders and the Phantoms Academy to help develop the club.”

Also signing a multi-year contract is Club Captain James Ferrara, who has signed a new 2 year contract.

Ferrara is enjoying his second spell with his hometeam, after a spell away with the Elite Leagues Nottingham Panthers. He has also represented his country, winning Gold with Great Britain Under 18’s and Bronze at Under 20’s.

Koulikov said of the signing “James is a leader both on and off the ice and was at the top of the list of British players that I wanted to re-sign.

“His leadership was a major factor in our success last season and i’m looking forward to working with him again this season,”
