As the DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms season is about to start, the Phantoms Sledge Hockey Team are coming to end end of another successful season.

The Sledge Phantoms are just one victory away from claiming their third successive League Title, and this Saturday see’s them face-off against the Sheffield Steelkings at Planet Ice.

Once the League campaign is over, they will then focus on retaining their Play-Off Championships, when the British Sledge Hockey Association hold their Play-Off tournament at Milton Keynes on the 5th September, prior to the Phantoms facing the Lightning in the 1st leg of the Ashes.

Since its debut at the Lillehammer 1994 Winter Games, the Paralympic version of ice hockey has quickly become one of the largest attractions for spectators. It is fast-paced, highly physical and played by male and female athletes. The League campaign is an all inclusive sport with teams comprising of able bodied and disabled athletes. The Phantoms Sledge team contains a number of Great Britain International players.

The Phantoms face-off against the Steelkings at 4.15pm on Saturday (22nd) and admission is Free.
