The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms traveled to Sheffield on Saturday in the 1st leg of the EPL Play-Off Quarter Finals.

In front of a large contingent of traveling supporters, the Phantoms controlled the game from the opening puck-drop.

Craig Scott opening the Phantoms scoring on 7 minutes, before two goals in the last 2 minutes of the opening period from Will Weldon and the returning Marc Levers made it a 3-0 game at the first break.

Milan Baranyk scored the Phantoms 4th five minutes into the middle period as the sheelshocked Steeldogs failed to handle the rampant Phantoms.

Liam Kirk pulled a goal back for the Steeldogs midway through the final period, but it’s the Phantoms who are taking a 4-1 lead into the 2nd leg in Peterborough on Sunday.

Man of the Match went to Liam Kirk for the Steeldogs and Craig Scott for the Phantoms.
