The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms today announce that Connor Glossop and Craig Wallis are released with immediate effect.
The two youngsters were part of a larger team of promising young players. With the depth of the team, each and every one of them has been fighting for position and ice time. The level of play has increased, making positions a hard fight between them. Of course this is not a bad thing, in gaining the best for the team and each individual. But we do not want to restrict players and we want to create opportunities.
Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented “We are half way through the season and after evaluating our youngsters, we are very pleased to see most of them are improving.
Whitey, Owen, Martins, Stubs, Callum as well as other local talented players that have all made great progress and growth as individuals and as a team”
Slava Continues “James White started the season as a 13th forward and has been pushing and working hard to be in the top 12 in recent months. Callum Medcalf and Nathan Long are young local prospects, who have impressed me also, and with growth there becomes more competition for places in the regular line up, and this is the reason we are saying farewell to Connor Glossop and Craig Wallis.”
As the Phantoms look to grow and build on the team, it’s with great delight that the Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are pleased to announce, James White has impressed Slava, and has already signed his contract for the 2017/18 season.
The entire organisation would like to thank Glossop and Wallis for all their efforts on and off the ice and wish them all the luck with their future. Also we would like to express our thanks to the fans that have sponsored Glossop and Wallis stalls and Jerseys, we appreciate your support.
