Continuing their preparations for the 2014/15 season, the Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are pleased to announce today the signing of British forward Alan Lack.
Having come through the Bracknell junior system, he made his senior team debut at 16 in the 2008/09 season with the Bracknell Hornets. Since then, the 21-year old Lack has made 200 senior team appearances, scored 67 goals for a career total of 149 points, while his gritty playing style has led to 485 penalty minutes.
Speaking to Alan, he said, “I’m looking forward to playing with the Phantoms. It’ll be a new team and a new environment for me with great fans.”
He added: “I’ve played for Slava before so when he called me I knew this would be a great opportunity. I’m sure I’ll continue to learn a lot from Coach Koulikov and also learn a lot from the guys I’ll be playing alongside”.
Head player-coach Slava Koulikov commented on Lack’s signing: “I’d like to welcome Lacky to the team. He played for me last season and I know what to expect from him. He’s a solid player and a great guy that always gives 110% on the ice. Lacky plays with passion and wants to win, which is exactly what we want this year and I am very happy to have him with us.”
“He’s also a great presence in the locker room which makes him an asset to any team he joins. Lacky is the type of player that you hate playing against and love to have in your team. He tends to become a fan favourite for his gritty style of play and I think the Phantoms fans will love him.”
