The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms begin building their defensive corps with the signing of Hull-based D-man, Scott Robson.
The 18-year old Robson spent last season on a 2-way contract between the NIHL Blackburn Hawks and the EIHL Hull Stingrays.
Since the age of 16, Scott has racked up an impressive 41 NIHL games between the ENL Hull Stingrays and the Hawks, and an impressive 69 games with the EIHL Hull Stingrays.
Scott told us: “Playing Elite League helped me to get in the right physical shape; playing in Blackburn enabled me to be a more offensive D-man. I hope to develop myself even more in the EPL and I’m determined to contribute in any way I can.”
“Ben Bowns said my next step is to play EPL hockey – so when Slava called, the opportunity was too good to turn down. I have spoken to several players at the Phantoms and they all had good things to say about the club.”
Peterborough DALROD Phantoms Head Coach Slava Koulikov was delighted with the signing, saying: “I would like to welcome Scotty to the Phantoms organization. The last few seasons he has been in the Elite League with the Hull Stingrays , I have spoken to players and coaches and they all speak highly of Scotty, saying that he has a good first pass, makes good decisions on the puck and plays a simple game”.
“We had problems last year with first time passes and making good plays under pressure and I believe he will be one of the new guys who will help us in this area.
He will be on a two way deal with the Hull Stingrays so he can continue with his development and I am looking forward to working with him.”
