The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are pleased to announce their first pre season friendly on Sunday 30th August, against the newly formed Elite league side Manchester Storm.

Phantoms had been scheduled to face Hull Stingray, but after last week’s events of them pulling out of the EIHL, this left Phantoms with a gap to fill.

With a ‘Stormy’ (silver for us) cloud, The Manchester Storm was announced as returning to action in the EIHL. After Mark Johnson knew our predicament he was only but willing to help us, in honoring Stingrays arrangements.

Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented on the fixture “Every pre-game match is a test for the team, but challenging against an Elite league side strides us forward and sets the bar. As we proved last year we was no push over, beating Stingrays at home in the Pre season friendly at the start of 2014/15 season.

Facing Storm will be a fantastic fixture to really get the guys back into action. Storm are a new team, and will have lots of energy to come out fighting to showcase what they have to offer. It will be a great game of hockey to watch”
Talking on the pre season game Storms Director Mark Johnson added ” “This promises to be a fantastic game and will be a unique opportunity for the Phantoms fans to be the first away fans to see the Storm in action. The Phantoms are a great team who play a very tactical game and so it will be fascinating to see how they perform against the Storm”.

We shall also be seeing an familiar face return to Planet Ice, Ex Phantoms player Matty Davis who moved to play in the Elite League after playing for the Phantoms in 2010/11.

Face off Times and ticket information will follow shortly.
