The DALROD sponsored Peterborough Phantoms would like to congratulate Adelaide Hunt and Izzy Wallace of the Phantoms Academy for making the England Womens National Teams.

Adelaide has made the final squad for England Womens Under 16’s team whilst Izzy is in the squad for the adult Womens team.

Both Adelaide and Izzy fly out to Finland for a tournament against local teams and other national teams on 23 August until 29 August 2015.

Both players had to attend 2 trials in Sheffield who then successfully made their way through to a School of Excellence week long training camp in Hull before finally being selected for the England teams.

Adelaide who played in defence for the league winning Phantoms Academy Under 16’s team last season said, “I can’t wait to fly out to Finland with all the other ladies pulling on the England jersey and doing my best for my country against other ladies from across the world, it has been very tough to make it into the team but all the hard work and many miles across the country will all be worth it I am sure”.

Izzy Wallace a netminder for Phantoms Academy Under 18’s will be joining up with the senior ladies team and also commented “playing with the boys at under 18’s level has really helped my game and has enabled me to be picked for the England ladies team, it will be hard in Finland against some very good ladies but I am looking forward to facing their shots on goal at me”.

Both Adelaide and Izzy will once again next season be pulling on a Phantoms Academy shirt for next season in the under 18’s team.
