The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are delighted to announce Head Coach Slava Koulikov has signed an extension to his current 3 year deal.
Coach Koulikov signed a 3 year contract after becoming 2015 Play Off Champions, now into his second year, it’s great to announce the 1 year extension to his current contract allowing Slava and the organisation to build on the foundations and stability of the Phantoms future. We are pleased to confirm Slava will be with us until at least the end of 2018/19 season.
Slava Koulikov commented on his future with the Phantoms “There are many reasons that a commitment of the coach is good for a club. Firstly the players, they will feel more stable and will be able to commit themselves more also, and more importantly, we are able to execute long term plans. The owners made it really clear what he wants to see out of the next 2 seasons of my contract. they support me as much as they can, which is great.”
Slava continues “My bigger concern was for my family because my family comes first, it was a tough decision to make for the whole family because I’ve been travelling a lot & not seeing my daughter grow. Thanks to Dave, Jo & the whole organisation they made it work, and have helped us make the transition to come here with my family full-time. Now I’m just looking forward to concentrating on hockey & carrying on the work we have built here.”
Also commenting on Slava’s Contractual extension is Jon Kynaston, Director of Hockey “We are delighted to confirm an additional year with Slava, we have a very solid working relationship and I believe we are building strong foundations for the future. We are keen for Slava, and the team to see stability, and the organisation committing ahead allows that and helps us plan medium term and not just short term.”
