The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms, sponsored by Smart Solutions group, are pleased to complete their D line up with Phantoms fans favourite Greg Pick.
The physical Nottingham based, 24 year old defenceman, will be joining us back in Phantoms colours after his return to Peterborough part way through last season after last summer departing Phantoms after a 4 season stretch. Greg headed north to Manchester Phoenix but returned in February.
Greg or Picker as he is known, has never been shy of bringing a physical edge to his game, in which he relishes, but the likable guy has proven over the last few seasons that their is more to his game than dropping the gloves.
Like a few of our Phantoms line up this season, Picker spent 3 years overseas in American as a youth, playing in the Midget AAA, MPHL and AtJHL leagues.
Slava Koulikov commented on Pickers return “Greg is a great guy to have around the locker room. He is a big guy, hard to play against and tough defenseman who will protect his team mates. He is a strong person both on and off the ice and is another great addition to our line-up for the coming season. I know many Phantoms fans really liked Greg as he plays hard for the team every night. We are excited to have him return”
Pick also commented on the new season “It’s great to be back for another season in Peterborough . I feel very at home here and it’s great to be back for another year, with a great core group of guys who have played together for a long time. We have all worked with Slava and the owners to build a great club on and off the ice”
Picker Continues “It will be very interesting with the new set up next year. Not too sure what to expect, there is a lot of good players and teams in the league so it will be competitive, ofr sure . Looking at our team and speaking with Slava , our goal will be to win trophies as always. Hopefully we can lift some silverware . I am currenntly training hard in the gym and looking forward to getting back to it in September.”
In addition to Picks announcement we can confirm, that we will be saying farewell to Marc Levers. Marc has done an excellent job for the Phantoms in the four seasons he has been with us. The entire organisation would like to thank him for all his efforts on and off the ice and wish him and his family all the best of luck for the future.
