The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms NIHL 2 are delighted to announce their first signings of the season.

Returning for his 12th season in Peterborough, is James Pentecost. After last season’s success James was eager to stay with the team for the 17/18 season. Last season he picked up his 125th assist (plus 12 more) to make him the All-time Assist leader for the Islanders in their final season. This is a massive achievement for a real playmaker, James has a great hockey brain and is always setting up chances for his team mates.

On returning to the team James said ‘I’m happy to be coming back to Peterborough. Last season was such a successful one, we reached new heights together as a team and I’m excited to do it all over again. I’m ready for a really strong season personally and do my bit to win everything we can again. Playing with these guys again was a no brainer, the team chemistry is the best I’ve ever had

Coach Stevie Johnson is also delighted to have James back for the 17/18 season ‘He is a natural play maker who opens up opportunities for his team mates. He should thrive this season against better teams’

In 187 Games, he has posted 96 goals and 137 assists and will be hoping to add to these impressive totals this season.

Also returning to for the 17/18 season is 21 year old Bradley Moore. Brad is a product of the Peterborough junior system and has made 78 appearances for the EPL Peterborough Phantoms.

He has a great eye for goal and is very dangerous on the power play. After a couple of offers from other teams, Brad has decided there is only one place he wants to play and that is with Phantoms 2

Brad commented, ‘This team is so close and we showed that last year collecting all 3 trophies, I’m looking forward to playing some different teams, in a stronger league, and hopefully we can carry on the success of last season.

In 71 games, Brad has posted 57 goals and 68 assists, another reason that coach Johnson is very happy to see Brad back next season ‘Brad is a top player in this league already and is a massive part of this team. We’re looking for great season from him to prove to everyone he should be in the league above.
