The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are very pleased to welcome back to the Phantoms, forward Nathan Pollard.

The 25 year-old, Peterborough born forward, has spent the majority of his hockey career within the Phantoms organisation. Nathan, worked his way through the junior set up and made his Phantoms senior debut in the season of 2011/12. Nathan spent his time progressing his development with the Islanders (now known as Phantoms 2) and a brief spelling with the London Raiders, before returning to the top level in Peterborough mid way through last season.

Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented “Polly has been nothing but positive on and off the ice since making step up from Phantoms 2. It’s never easy joining mid-season but Polly did really well. His game will be even more consistent next season and he will be effective at both ends of the ice.

Polly is a good skater, works hard every shift and plays with high energy levels. He takes care of himself and stays in good shape, he is the perfect role model and will make our team better.

Off the ice, Polly is a team guy first, awesome in the room and a player I know Phantoms Fans will love. I am looking forward to be working with Poly next season!

Nathan who has just returned from an incredible expedition to Gambia, where he raised funds and help build a school for a poverty struck locals, commented about his return to the Phantoms “I’m really happy to be committing to the 18/19 season with the Phantoms. You always want to play for your home town club and being a Peterborough lad, there’s always something special about putting the jersey on and playing in front of our great fans!

Joining part way through the season was a difficult transition, but I was happy with my play towards the end of the season. I want to be able to contribute to the team goals that Slava has set, as well as improving personally on the scoreboard and being more consistent and playing with more confidence. Last season was disappointing coming so close to silverware and not getting our hands on any, we’ll look to change that this season and I’m confident we can. Slava is putting together a great team and I can’t wait to get started!”

The Own & Loan is now available for Nathan Pollard’s home and away jersey at £125 each.

This year we are also offering a corporate player sponsorship for businesses which will offer announcements and a social media package for as little as £500. For more information on corporate sponsorship or own & loans please contact info@GoPhantoms.co.uk
