The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are delighted to welcome back the young and talented utility player, Nathan Long.

The 20 year old D’man, originally from Crewe, has over the last few years spent time developing his game with a variety of southern clubs in the UK. Nathan did spend time with our own Phantoms youth system, as well time with the Chelmsford and Milton Keynes NIHL sides.

Nathan is now entering his second season in the top level team in Peterborough, and after a successful season last year, it’s no surprise Phantoms Head Coach wanted him back on the blue line.

Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented “We were all was really impressed with Longer’s development last season, he truly deserved his contract for the season ahead.

Last season Longer played up and down the line up as a forward and defenceman, but when Robbo picked up injury in January Longer grabbed his opportunity with both hands and impressed us. Longer is an all round D man, he is strong in one on one situations, a smooth skater and he moves the puck well.

Longer has got a big season ahead of him, he will be given a full time top 6 D’s role, and it will be interesting to see how far his game will progress next season.”

Nathan also commented saying “It’s great to be back with the Phantoms for this upcoming season. The team is shaping up great with the re-signings and new signings. I can’t wait to see how we gel as a team, on and off the ice. This season will be a challenge but the team will be working hard to compete and hopefully bring back some silverware for the club and it’s supporters.”

The Own & Loan is now available for Nathan Long’s home jersey at £125.

This year we are also offering a corporate player sponsorship for businesses which will offer announcements and a social media package for as little as £500. For more information on corporate sponsorship or own & loans please contact info@GoPhantoms.co.uk
