The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms regrettably say farewell to local netminder Euan King.
Euan has had a fantastic coaching opportunity that would enhance his already glowing CV. As the Phantoms have never wanted to step in the way of progression, so the entire Phantoms organisation wish Euan all the best of luck in his new position and thank him for all his efforts on and off the ice with the Phantoms.
As we know Euan’s departure does leave a gap within our roster with only a month to go before our first game away against Basingstoke Bison on Saturday 8th September and the return leg home on Sunday 9th. Slava has not wasted any time in recruiting and we are pleased to welcome back another local talented netminder in Ryan Bainborough.
The Nottingham born 26-year-old lives local to Peterborough and has played his junior years for the Peterborough Academy. Ryan last season playing alongside Dan Lane for the NIHL2 Phantoms but has had brief spells away playing for Oxford, Chelmsford, Slough and the London Raiders.
Slava Koulikov commented on the late offseason movements saying; “Euan has a great opportunity and we wish him all the best in his new role, of course for the Phantoms it’s sad news to lose him from our roster, but I know we have a replacement that can do the job and well. Ryan will replace Euan and I am looking forward to working with him, Marr and Lane .”
As we wish Euan farewell and good luck, we welcome Ryan and also wish him the best of luck with the Phantoms senior team for the new season.
A special mention goes to Chloe Nicole who sponsored Euan’s home jersey, we thank you for your support.
The Own & Loan is now available for Ryan’s home and away jersey at £125 each.
This year we are also offering a corporate player sponsorship for businesses which will offer announcements and a social media package for as little as £500. For more information on corporate sponsorship or own & loans please contact info@GoPhantoms.co.uk
