The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to announce the return of Peterborough born forward, Louie Kynaston, for the 2026/27 season.
Aside from one game, Louie has played his entire career in Peterborough to date. The 19-year-old forward began in the Phantoms’ junior system and consistently scored a large amount of points for the club’s youth teams.
The Great Britain U16, U18 and U20 International now has two full seasons under his belt with the Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms and has added further appearances for the Phantoms NIHL2 team and U19’s.
And he’ll now be looking to add to the five goals and two assists he picked up last season after he signed on the dotted line for 2026/27.
“I am delighted to be retuning for the final year of my 3 year contract, I look forward to joining up with the team and being part of what looks like a really exciting roster that is being put together this off-season.”
“I want to build on last season, work hard, and do as much as I can to help the team in what looks like a very strong and even more competitive league next season.”
“Peterborough is such a good place to play, the atmosphere in the rink along with the long hockey history here make it an honour putting the jersey on each week. I can’t wait to get back at it in front of our fans, See You In September.” Louie said.
And Head Coach Ashley Tait, said: “Louie is another one I think could have a break out year. He’s dependable and has a great work ethic. If we can develop his game offensively I think he’ll have a bigger role to play.”
Welcome back, #8 Louie Kynaston
