The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms are thrilled to announce the re-signing of popular homegrown defenceman, Brad Bowering!
The 24-year-old Peterborian as played his entire career in Peterborough to date, barring several appearances with the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite League.
He’s been an important member of the team since he first stepped onto the scene aged 16 and has already racked up over 300 appearances for his hometown club. A popular figure for his solid defensive work and silky hands, he’s another important addition to the 2026/27 roster.
Brad suffered an unfortunate injury prior to the playoffs, which required surgery, but he’s made his presence felt off the ice with some impressive work in assisting Ashley Tait and delivering invaluable video insight to the defencemen on the ice.
Brad said the following on his re-signing in Peterborough: “Pleasure as always to be back with the phantoms for another two years. The season didn’t end how we hoped but still lots of positives to take into next year and I look forward to fighting for some silverware again!”
Whilst Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms Head Coach, Ashley Tait, said: “Brad re-signing is great news for us. He’s really been missed whilst injured and he’s one of the few D men in the league that really understands how to contribute offensively whilst also being solid at the back.”
Our thanks go to Artsy Laser for their sponsorship of Brad throughout 2025/26 and their continued support for the club!
Welcome back, #23 Brad Bowering!
