The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms would like to wish Corey McEwen all the best for the future after he confirmed his retirement from ice hockey.
Son of Peterborough hockey legend, Doug McEwen, Corey began his career in the Phantoms junior system, before moving to Canada ahead of the 2007/08 season. He continued to play in Canada through to the 2013/14 season.
He returned to England in 2015 with the Swindon Wildcats spent a year with the Telford Tigers before his first stint in Peterborough.
He spent five seasons with the Phantoms before spending two years in Milton Keynes. He returned to Peterborough ahead of the 2025/26 season and surpassed 200 points as a Phantom in the final season in his career.
We’d like to thank Corey for his time with the club and wish him the best of luck with the next chapter of his life away from hockey.
