The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms are delighted to welcome 23 year old forward, Ewan Hill, from the Romford Raiders!

Hill is no stranger to the NIHL National and to Planet Ice Peterborough, having shown his offensive prowess recently with a hat-trick against the Phantoms.

The Romford born forward played in Invicta, Chelmsford and Romford during his junior career, before stepping into senior hockey with the Raiders in 2018/19. He posted impressive numbers with the Raiders U18’s and the Romford Buccaneers (formerly Raiders 2) with 46 points in 21 games in his senior debut season.

He iced in Sweden’s second division in 2021/22, picking up 15 points in 18 games for Solleftea HK and returned to England the following season.

Hill spent a short period in Streatham, before heading back to his hometown with the Buccaneers and Raiders teams. 41 points in 19 Buccaneers games earned him a move to the Bristol Pitbulls, where he added 29 points in 49 games - a bright spark in what was a difficult season for the Pitbulls.

Ewan returned to Romford once again last season and posted his best points tally to date in the NIHL National - 16 goals and 29 assists saw him end on 45 points in 47 games. And now, he’ll be lacing them up as a Peterborough Phantom for the first time this September!

Ewan said the following on his signing: “I’m really excited to join the Phantoms for the upcoming season. Peterborough has always been a tough place to play, with incredible fans, so I’m looking forward to being on that side now. I can’t wait to contribute and hopefully help bring some silverware to the club.”

Whilst Head Coach, Ashley Tait, said: “I think Ewan’s a great addition. He’s got a great touch around the net and can play with an edge, which I felt is something we lacked at times last year.”

Welcome to the Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms, #59 Ewan Hill!
