The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to announce the signing of goaltender, Will Bray, for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old goalie spent his early junior days between his hometown of Nottingham, and Peterborough, where he played for the Phantoms U15’s.

He then moved onto the Coventry Blaze, where he continued his junior development, before his first steps into senior hockey with the Solihull Barons.

He’s been part of the Coventry Blaze EIHL set up since 2020, aside from a short spell with IK Kronan in Finland in 2021/22.

Bray has guested a number of times for the Phantoms as our backup goaltender, most recently in December’s home win over the Solway Sharks. He now joins up as a permanent member of the roster for the remainder of the season.

Bray said the following on his signing: “I’m looking forward to joining the team and contributing to their success. Hopefully we can have a great rest of the season!”

Whilst Head Coach, Ashley Tait, said: “We’ve obviously had injury and availability issues with goalies so we felt it was important to make sure we have coverage beyond the signing deadline. Having Will on the roster gives us that resilience where needed and hopefully gives us the opportunity to get Lavi some rest at some point.”

Welcome to Phantoms, #40 Will Bray!
