The SLS Peterborough Phantoms are delighted to confirm the return of 30-year-old defenceman, Scott Robson!
The experienced defenceman from Beverley okayed in the Manchester junior system, whilst also spending time in Bradford. He played for the Manchester Phoenix U18 and Trafford Metros before heading back to Hull.
In 2012/13, he played for the Kingston Sharks U18, Hull Stingrays NIHL & the Elite League Hull Stingrays, whilst also repressing the Great Britain U18’s for the first time.
He first arrived in Peterborough in 2014/15 on a two-way with the Hull Stingrays and stepped up to represent Great Britain at U20 level. A solid first season saw Robbo become popular amongst fans, teammates and coaches alike - so much so, he’s been here ever since.
He’s now up to fourth in the Phantoms’ all-time appearance maker record, with 503 appearances for the club. In that time, he’s added 35 goals, 151 assists and made countless key defensive contributions.
Robbo said the following on his re-signing with the SLS Peterborough Phantoms: “I’m really pleased to be back once again with the Phantoms. We have a great group, and we are looking to push on from last season! I’m excited to get going again, and do whatever it takes for us to be successful and compete for trophies. I’m looking forward to seeing you all in September, getting our beautiful rink rocking! Hope you all enjoy the rest of the summer and see you all soon!”
Whilst Head Coach, Ashley Tait, said: “Robbo’s value to the team doesn’t need spelling out. He blocks more shots than any other d man in the league and he brings a calmness to everyone around him.”
Welcome back, #11 Scott Robson!
