The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms can confirm the departure of Duncan Speirs after four successful years at the club.
The 27-year-old of Irvine, Scotland, initially joined the Phantoms ahead of the 2020/21 season, but the season was curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
But he opted to join up the following year, when he posted 29 goals and 26 assists for 55 points in 48 regular season games.
He’s gone on to win a NIHL National Cup and the NIHL National Playoffs in his time in Peterborough, where he has been part of the leadership group within the team for the most part.
As many will remember, Duncan suffered a serious injury towards the end of the 2023/24 season, which we were all delighted to see him overcome and ice again last season - where he posted 34 points in 38 regular season games.
Our thanks go to Duncan for his commitment to the club over the last four seasons and we wish him all the best for the future.
Further signings will be announced in due course, so keep an eye across the Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms’ social media channels for all the info as we continue to prepare for 2025/26!
