The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms will be hosting their fifth annual Pride Home Game on Sunday 15th February in line with the NIHL & England Ice Hockey Pride Week.
Pride Week is an opportunity to raise awareness and understanding around diversity and inclusion, and to reinforce that our sport and venues should be a welcoming and safe place for everyone - on and off the ice.
The Supporters club have organised a pride themed Dingbat style quiz that will take place around the arena. Head to the supporters club table in skate hire to collect your answers sheet, the person with the most correct answers will win a bench with the Phantoms experience.
The Supporters Club will also have some pride themed merchandise for sale during the game from their stalls in skate hire. Be sure to head over to see what they have on offer! Also in skate hire will be an LGBTQIA+ information stand hosted by our away game medic, Brian Bell.
Our DJ Hayley will be playing a Pride specific playlist on the night which has been put together by Peterborough Pride and features LGBTQIA+ artists.
The Movie Night jerseys created by the Supporters Club featured the Pride logo and saw 5% of the jersey sales be donated to The Kite Trust. The Kite Trust are a charity that support the wellbeing and creativity of LGBTQ young people (under 30) in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and the surrounding areas through information, support and groups
