The SLS Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to confirm the return of forward Nic Martin on the third year of his prospect contract.
The 19-year-old split his junior career between Milton Keynes, Nottingham and Peterborough before taking his first steps into senior hockey in Nottingham. He posted two points in two games with the Nottingham Lions 2 and a further eight points in 25 games in his debut senior campaign with the Lions in NIHL1.
He signed his prospect contract with the Phantoms ahead of 2024/25 and split his time between the Phantoms U18, NIHL2 and the senior Peterborough Phantoms. He hit 18 points in 6 U18 games, seven more for the NIHL2 side and three in 14 games for the Phantoms in his first NIHL National season.
Last season followed a similar model, with Martin notching five points in seven games for the Phantoms U19’s, four points in 14 NIHL2 games and iced 15 times for the SLS Peterborough Phantoms.
And he now returns for year three of his prospect contract with the club, looking to build upon his start to life in senior hockey.
