The Waldeck Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to announce that 21-year-old defenceman Bradley Bowering has signed an extension to his contract with the club for an additional 2 years.

The local d-man has quickly become a vital part of the Phantoms defence since his initial signing in 2018 and his new extension will see him in the Phantoms jersey until the end of the 2024/25 season.

This season has been a break-through season from Brad as he currently has 35 points from 42 games making him our second highest point scoring defenceman.

Head Coach Slava Koulikov said ‘Brad has developed in to an exciting two way D man and is having an amazing season. We all know Brad has a high skill level and hockey IQ but what makes him one of the best D’s in the league is his balance in his game.

‘Brad first takes care of his defensive responsibilities and only then will he help with offensive production.

‘I am really happy Brad has extended his contract and look forward to continuing to work with him.’

Brad commented on his contract extension ‘I’m very excited to be back in Peterborough for the next 2 years. I have enjoyed playing here with a lot of the same guys since the start of my career and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve and what trophies we can win in the future.’

Welcome back #23 Brad Bowering
