The Waldeck Peterborough Phantoms are saddened to announce that forward #12 Nathan Pollard will not be returning for the 23/24 season.

The 29-year-old forward had his Phantoms senior team debut in 2010 at the age of 17 before playing for the Peterborough Islanders (Phantoms 2) and the London Raiders. Nathan re-joined the Phantoms full time in the 2018/19 season and went on to be part of the treble winning team that year.

Overall Nathan has played 12 seasons in Phantoms colours, racking up 389 games and 97 points! Nathan is one of the longest serving players in Peterborough, and has lifted 4 trophies in his time with the club.

Nathan commented “ I’m gutted to not be back in Phantoms colours next season, I’ve loved every minute of my time playing for the team I grew up idolising. I’ve played with some great players and made lifelong friends. The fans have always been special and have made playing in Peterborough the most enjoyable part of my hockey career, I will miss playing in front of you all every week. But all things must come to an end eventually. I’m looking forward to wherever the next steps on my hockey journey takes me. I wish the Phantoms players, staff and fans all the very best for the future.”

We are sad to see Nathan leave the organisation but we would like to thank him for all of his hard work over the past 12 seasons, and wish him all the best for whatever may come next!

Thank you Polly #12
