The WALDECK Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to announce that 16-year-old defenceman Archie Salisbury will be re-joining for the 23/24 season!

The Peterborough born d-man signed his first senior contract with the club last season, and we are pleased to announce he will be re-signing for next season! Archie is a great young prospect and has shown he has what it takes to play at this level.

Last season was huge for Archie, not only winning the National Cup with the Phantoms, but also the Bronze medal at the 2023 IIHF World Championships with Great Britain U18’s.

Despite his young age, Archie has already gained himself a reputation for being a strong, two-way defenceman, who plays with physicality and can also contribute to the scoring charts.

Archie commented: “It’s great to be back with the team this year. I learnt a lot last season and I am already looking forward to getting started. I want to say a big thank you to the club for believing in me and giving me the opportunity this season.”

Head Coach Slava Koulikov said: “We have been working with Arch over the last 2 years, we are really happy with his progress and see Arch as big part of our D core going forward. Arch has all the tools and most importantly the right attitude, on and off the ice, to become top D in the country and achieve his goals!”

Welcome back Arch!
