Marzy’s unbelievable performances on the ice and unwavering leadership were instrumental in our team’s success, culminating in an impressive 5 trophies with the club, the latest contribution was especially vital in securing our playoff championship this season.

He is a true gentleman, who I have a lot of respect for and is loved by everyone at the club - the fans, his teammates, staff, coaches and all of our juniors. I want to thank Marzy for his dedication he has shown to Phantoms and wish him, Valeen and his family all the best for the future.”

Jordan Marr has the following to say on his departure: “Phantoms Thank You! After 5 seasons, 5 trophies and almost 270 games played, my time as a Phantom has come to an end.

I would firstly like to thank all the Phantoms fans for all your support through the good and bad times, I always appreciated it.

Thank you to all the owners, directors, sponsors, backroom staff and volunteers, without you there wouldn’t have been a team that was able to compete week in and week out and fight for trophies.

A huge thank you to Slava who allowed me to prove myself, believed in me through the hard times and gave me the opportunity to develop into the goalie and person I am today.

Thanks to all my goalie partners, Ryan, Tyler and Seabass. Nerding out on our Tuesday goalie sessions was the highlight of my week and I’m so grateful for our time together. Special thank you to all the young goalies that I had the opportunity to work with over the years in the Phantoms Academy, I look forward to seeing how you all progress in the future.

I’m very grateful to all my team-mates over the last 5 seasons, especially Padi, Nortz, Weldz, Robbo, Brad, Jarvis and Boogie who were with me the whole way. Winning a championship creates a bond that can never be broken and I’ll always be grateful to have those memories.

Lastly, and most importantly, thank you Valeen for joining me on what was meant to be “a year down South”. You allowed me to follow my passions and brought our wonderful Cameron into the world.”

Tyler De La Bertouche joined the team in the 2021/22 season as a back-up netminder and has shown huge progression in his game since then. The 18-year-old has won an impressive 2 trophies with the club in his debut seasons in the NIHL:
