The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms are wishing Austin Mitchell-King all the best as he departs for a new challenge in a different league.
Austin initially joined the Phantoms ahead of the 2022/23 season from the Telford Tigers and posted 32 points in his debut season.
He added a further 34 points the following season, before hitting his career best last term. Having built good chemistry with line mates Duncan Speirs and Nathan Salem, Mitchell-King notched 21 goals and 18 assists for 39 points in 44 regular season games.
But following the conclusion of his university course, the 23-year-old will now make the step up to full-time hockey, having been offered an opportunity in a new league.
Our thanks go to Austin for the last three years and we’d like to wish him the best of luck with his new adventure.
More signings are right around the corner, so keep an eye across the Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms’ social media channels for all the info as we continue to prepare for 2025/26!
