The WALDECK Peterborough Phantoms are saddened to announce that #44 Ryan Bainborough will be leaving the club.
Ryan Bainborough started his career in Peterborough coming up through the junior system and joining the Peterborough Islanders (Now Phantoms 2) in the 2008/09 season. Ryan then spent 4 seasons in the NIHL with Chelmsford Chieftains, Oxford City Starts and the London Raiders before returning too Peterborough to join the Phantoms in 2018/19.
Ryan commented: “ It has been an awesome 5 years with Peterborough. You won’t play with a better bunch of lads anywhere! I have made memories and friends to last a lifetime and has a lot of success along the way. Thank you for the memories everyone!”
Since joining the Phantoms 1st team in 2018/19, Ryan has been a huge part of the team on and off the ice. Ryan was part of the treble winning team in the 2018/19 season and the 2022/23 cup champions team which means Ryan leaves the club having won 4 trophies as a Phantom! What a great achievement!
We are sad to see Ryan leave the organisation but we would like to thank Ryan for all of his hard work over the past 5 seasons, and wish him all the best for whatever may come next!
Thank you Ryan #44
