Lavigne had the following to say on his signing for the Phantoms: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Phantoms for the coming season! I look forward to following in last season's footsteps and competing for some more championships.

"I can’t wait for the season to come and I look forward to meeting the fans and showing what we can accomplish. See you all soon!”

Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented: “Lavi comes to us with a wealth of experience. He has been involved in one of the best programmes at the University of Michigan and has also played in top leagues like the AHL, ECHL and EIHL.

"Lavi is highly technical, reads the game well and moves quickly around the net. We are absolutely thrilled to have him as our new top-class netminder.

"His competitive nature on and off the ice, winner mentality and true professionalism set him apart. We are confident that his presence will elevate our team to new heights.”
