Biography
The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to announce the return of young local forward, Nicholas Martin, for the 2025/26 season.
The 18-year-old played some of his junior hockey in Peterborough, but also spent considerable time icing in Nottingham through their youth system.
He made his step into senior hockey in 2023/24 when he iced for the Nottingham Lions, notching eight points in 25 regular season games.
Martin returned to Planet Ice Peterborough ahead of the 2024/25 season and has split his time between the Phantoms’ U18’s, Phantoms NIHL2 and the Phantoms senior side. He grabbed his first goal as a senior Phantom against the Berkshire Bees just before the 2024/25 Playoffs.
And he’ll be back once again, icing with both the Phantoms and Phantoms NIHL2, to continue his development in the senior game.
Nic said the following on his re-signing: “I’m really excited to be re-signing with the Peterborough Phantoms. It’s a great opportunity to develop my game, work hard for the team, and contribute to the club’s success. I can’t wait to get started and play in front of the Phantoms fans again. See you all in September!”
Whilst Phantoms Director, Jon Kynaston, said: “Nic has great potential and it will be great to see how he can continue to develop this season. It’s good to have Nic back with us!”
