The Wendy’s Peterborough Phantoms are delighted to confirm the re-signing of defenceman Scott Robson for the 2025/26 season.
The 29-year-old Beverley born defenceman is one of the Phantoms’ longest serving players, as he prepares to enter his eleventh year with the club.
He initially joined the club ahead of the 2014/15 season and impressed the fans with his solid defensive game, despite his young age and lack of experience at the EPL level at the time.
The former Great Britain U18 and U20 international concluded his first season in Phantoms colours by opening the scoring in a 5-2 playoff final victory over the Manchester Phoenix in Coventry, which saw Slava Koulikov’s side overcome all odds to return to Peterborough with the trophy.
The ability and maturity Robson was showing beyond his years would undoubtedly have sparked interest amongst other teams, but he returned to Peterborough ahead of 2015/16 and has remained an integral part of our organisation ever since.
With over 500 appearances now under his belt, Sunday afternoon will be a celebration of Robbo’s time with the club so far - as he enjoys a well earned testimonial game.
Robson said the following on his return for an eleventh year as our #11: "Signing back was a no brainer, the club is one big family. I couldn’t be happier about returning for another year, I can’t wait to get going again come the new season. We’ve created a winning culture in Peterborough under Slava and have 6 banners to look back on with happiness and pride. Now it’s going to be a new challenge for the team to overcome with a change of coach, but I’m confident with our group we will be just as strong."
