The Waldeck Peterborough Phantoms defeated the Bristol Pitbulls in their only game of the weekend.
The away side took the lead early on when Adam Harding sent Sean Morris in on goal and he beat Jordan Marr through the five hole.
It took Phantoms less than five minutes to hit back though, as Tom Norton ghosted in on the back post to score on the powerplay.
And Phantoms went ahead ten and a half minutes later with a carbon copy of their first goal, but this time it was Billy Thorpe on hand at the back post to beat Ben Norton.
Phantoms found a third goal early in the second period when Connor Glossop centred the puck and Jarvis Hunt was in the right spot to score.
Tyler De La Bertouche then replaced Jordan Marr in the Phantoms net for the second half of the game.
Ivan Björkly Nordström extended the lead further on 34:29 with a fine solo effort as he skated in from the left, pulled a move in front of Norton and lifted the puck into the roof of the net.
But Bristol hit back with two quick goals as Bari McKenzie scored a blue line slap shot on the powerplay, before Morris grabbed his second of the night just 30 seconds later.
Phantoms did go into the second intermission with a two goal lead, though, as Callum Buglass forced the puck home from close range after pouncing on a rebound.
Lukas Sladkovsky netted Phantoms’ sixth of the night from close range after good work by Duncan Speirs and Luke Ferrara.
And the Phantoms top line went back to work on their next shift, but this time it was Ferrara who applied the finishing touch to make it 7-3.
Next weekend, Phantoms make the short journey to take on the Milton Keynes Lightning on Saturday, before the Sheffield Steeldogs visit Planet Ice Peterborough on Sunday.
